D’Anne M. Kleinsmith, M.D.
As many of you already know, I am a board certified dermatologist on staff at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. For many years I had my own practice in the Beaumont Medical building in West Bloomfield.
I received my bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and my medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. My dermatology residency was completed at Henry Ford Hospital. During my last year of training, I was named chief resident and won a research award from the Michigan Dermatological Society. After residency, I remained on staff at Henry Ford for several years where I was involved with teaching residents and research. I served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Michigan and was the director of the HFH West Bloomfield Dermatology Clinic. During that time, I was a frequent speaker at national and international dermatology conferences and wrote articles for peer-reviewed journals.
In addition to my professional career, I also enjoyed working with the media. For several years I was a medical reporter on the Channel 4 Evening News with Mort Crim and Carmen Harlan. "Health Talks" was a television program that I hosted on Channel 4, in addition to hosting a weekly "Ask the Doctor" call-in radio program on WXYZ.
My current practice includes general dermatology, dermatologic surgery and cosmetic dermatology. I have a special interest in cosmetic treatment and procedures including Botox®, Juvéderm® and Restylane®. I am affiliated with the Michigan Dermatological Society, Oakland County and Michigan State Medical Societies and the American Academy of Dermatology. I have been named a "Top Doc" for many years.
