My Commitment to You

Dear current, past and potential future patients,

Welcome to my new office in Farmington Hills! I am proud to be affiliated with Midwest Center for Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, a member of (DOCS) Doctors of Central States . MCDCS is a well established group of outstanding dermatologists, Mohs surgeons, physician assistants and medical aestheticians. I believe Midwest Dermatology represents a growing trend in medical care. It offers you, the patient, a full spectrum of dermatology services: an array of cosmetic procedures, laser treatments and peels, Mohs surgery for the treatment of several types of skin cancer, and of course, the diagnosis and treatment of the more common conditions in dermatology like moles, acne, warts, rashes, etc. This is a comprehensive approach that I think you will appreciate. As always, I remain committed to providing my patients, of all ages, the best quality medical care.

My new office is on the first floor of The Offices of Woodcreek building on Northwestern Highway. Ample parking is conveniently located immediately behind the building. The office
itself is just inside the entrance, making your visit easier. Our Spa 43 Cosmetic and Laser Center is located in our office. The spa offers peels, microneedling, IPL and laser treatments as well as other cosmetic procedures. Read about it on this website.

I look forward to seeing all my loyal patients and many new patients in the months and years to come. I think you’ll like our services, my new surroundings and staff.

About D’Anne Kleinsmith, MD

I received my bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and my medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. My dermatology residency was completed at Henry Ford Hospital. During my last year of training, I was named chief resident and won a research award from the Michigan Dermatological Society. After residency, I remained on staff at Henry Ford for several years where I was involved with teaching residents and research. I served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Michigan and was the director of the HFH West Bloomfield Dermatology Clinic. During that time, I was a frequent speaker at national and international dermatology conferences and wrote articles for peer-reviewed journals.

In addition to my professional career, I also enjoyed working with the media. For several years I was a medical reporter on the Channel 4 Evening News with Mort Crim and Carmen Harlan. "Health Talks" was a television program that I hosted on Channel 4, in addition to hosting a weekly "Ask the Doctor" call-in radio program on WXYZ.

My current practice includes general dermatology, dermatologic surgery and cosmetic dermatology. I have a special interest in cosmetic treatment and procedures including Botox®, Juvéderm® and Restylane®. I am affiliated with the Michigan Dermatological Society, Oakland County and Michigan State Medical Societies and the American Academy of Dermatology. I have been named a "Top Doc" for many years.”
